Ubuntu: Linux Thongs for Human Beings
Ubuntu is an African word. It’s also a pretty impressive and user friendly Linux distro. But apparently the BBC thinks its a thong. Today they posted a lengthy article about how British politicians are beginning to embrace the word, at the urging of former US President Bill Clinton. The word in English roughly means ‘I am because you are’. And wouldn’t you know it, toward the end of the piece they display an example of Ubuntu: an image of a thong ripped straight from a CafePress store.
Either this is just really sloppy intern research or a brilliant interloper making a subtle statement about political libidos.
