Storm Trooper Tee

Does the world really need more Star Wars themed apparel? Judging by the sheer Jedi saber raising nature of this sexy design the answer is yes and please. And anyone else find it incredibly appropriate that the subject of a mass produced tshirt is a clone?

The design is from BangBangT-Shirts and will cost 11.99 pounds (but they do offer free worldwide shipping).

The Internet is Closed TShirt

So you may have been wondering why the recent lull in posting. Why, you ask? My friend, did you not get the email? Of course you didn’t - because the Internet was closed. That is if by ‘Internet’ I’m referring to my ‘attention span’ and by ‘closed’ I mean ’somewhere else’.

‘The Internet is Closed’ is another in a series of great shirts by Threadless (affiliate link, non affiliate link). The shirt runs $12 for guys and $14 for gals. Thanks to TCritic for the find.

Deflated Defenses Tee for Your WOW Geek

When it comes to geek finery sometimes I think I get too focused on only technical or sci-fi oddities. In reality, the land of geekdom is full of social misanthropes and quirky neurosis to fill a hundred of Mariah’s closets.

Take, for example, ‘Deflated Defenses’ from Glennz Tees. They obviously saw the huge renaissance fair contingent, weighed it against the legion of bouncy castle practitioners, and came up with an epic mashup to appeal to thousands (if not millions) who belong to both camps. Or maybe it just made them laugh. For $19.95.

WikiPedia is Accurate TShirt

What could I say about Wikipedia that already hasn’t been said? Depending on what pundit you may be sitting closest to its either the repository of all that’s worth knowing (that’s not pr0n) or the victory of bully masses over reasoned scholarship. All I know is its where I look up my Dr. Who factoids.

This brilliant shirt from Busted Tees perfectly captures the ying and yang of the source that everyone love to doubt. You can have yours (no citation needed) for $18.99.

Rubix Cube = Sexual Dexterity?

Dexterity This shirt has me torn. At first glance its a clever, albeit juvenile, tie in with a pop culture phenom that has been making a subtle comeback. On the other hand, it gives me great pause when I recall the words of Uncle Mort describing the “great pleasure” he derived from the “hours and hours” spent on the cube. Its that kind of ‘is-it-or-is-it-not-a-double-entendre that makes family reunions such hell. Don this tee at your own risk.

Rubix Cube shirt from Wicked Cool Stuff for $17.99. Tip ‘o the hat to Fashionably Geek for the find.

Back to the Future - starring Obama?

So we’ve covered quite a few political-themed geek tshirts in the past several months. Thankfully, the quality of geek tie-ins continues even if the campaigns have gotten mired down in negative ads and semantics.

‘Barack Is the Future’ can be bought from KarmaLoop for $20. Props to Hide Your Arms for the find.

R2D2 Cutaway TShirt

When it comes to geek memes few things can surpass Star Wars (despite Lucas’s best efforts to kill the franchise with episodes 1-3). A mainstay in the pantheon of lovable science fiction characters is R2-D2, the droid that could. Artist Reece Ward here shows us a cutaway of just what is in our favorite bleepin’ hero - apparently a trike, Dalek, etc.

You can buy this shirt from RedBubble.com for $23.94. Hat tip goes to Geekologie for spotting this gem.
