1982 Bit Thriller Tee

The year was 1982. The place was a little po-dunk town in the middle of no-where. The event was my cousin Nicole’s birthday party where she received an innocuous tape which she then promptly played. The ice cream was sweater, the cake was… cake-i-er… and the world saw the birth of an musical messiah which would later repeatedly and shockingly let them down.

Shirt.Woot loving captures the moment in a pixelated joy. Chop the image up well enough and you might even be able to make a dancing sprite. A big thank you to reader Whiney Brook for reminding me that this incredible design is now available for $15.

    1. Celebri-Tee: TRS Episode #74 | Militant Geek Custom Shirts Says:

[...] I had previously featured Woot’s wonderful ‘1982 Bit-Thriller’ featured on the rig…. The other shirt took some tracking but eventually I arrived at the TurnNocturnal store. This design, surprisingly enough, is called ‘Huge Type Looks Sweet’ and is a wonderful addition to all the typeface snobs elite designers out there. It runs $20 and all shirts are printed on American Apparel stock. Spread the Propoganda: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. [...]
