I’m a bit disappointed with Glennz Tees Go Ape at the moment. As you may remember, they had created an absolutely killer Star Trek parody that I featured here. They’ve decided to no longer sell it because of legal rumblings from CBS (the Star Trek IP owners). Bleh!

Sortly thereafter I saw this wonderful little ‘Vulcan Massage’ tee on Cafepress. Now it would be one thing if the designer was blatantly taking a screenshot and applying it directly to a shirt. But the great thing about intellectual property in this country is that it allows for things like parody (and, hopefully soon, clearer definition of ‘derivative works’).

Still, there’s no guarantee that this t-shirt will remain up for long either. Get yours for $19.99 before the legal beagles are unleashed! Props to Fashionably Geek for the find.

Update: The Glenn form Glenn’s Tees wrote to remind me that it wasn’t his shop. Sure enough, upon inspection, it was Go Ape Shirts that cow towed. It would seem that I have been doing a bit of Bar Trekkin myself. For Glenn’s Star Trek parody check out “It’s a Bottle Jim”.
